I'm back with FNSI

Finally getting my head around being home and back to 'normality'!!!
Yes, after 4 1/2 weeks we are finally home from hospital and 'Dad's' doing amazingly well...thanks to all your prayers and well wishes! I must apologise for not replying to your comments but it has been extremely difficult with no 'real' access to the computer so I hope you'll understand, and know that I appreciate each and every one of your comments!

Now we just have to get him fit and strong and get the all clear from the specialist to go for his next operation in the next few months......the removal of  one of his kidneys due to a 4.2cm cancer growing in it.

What have I been up to???  Well, a few pictures might tell the story.....

a sneaky of a new design going into Patchwork and Stitching in the near future....one with hexies and dots!!!!!!

......revisiting an old love......

a little stitchery just so I don't lose the habit.....

and playing with these lovely fabrics for another new quilt design.......

here's a peek at how it's working out ......still a bit to go yet though........this is NOT the finished product.......there's a bit of applique going on those blank squares.....and that's going to be a surprise!!!!

So I haven't been entirely lax in my 'non-existence' on blogger but I need to do a complete catchup with it as I know I'm behind with the Birthday-Love Stash as well........but I know you'll understand......life just gets in the way sometimes and some things are just MORE important!

Now......lets get organised for FNSI.......sign ups are below and I'm looking forward to getting back into the groove with you all on Friday Night......
Sugary hugs

I'm looking forward to Friday. I told a stitching friend and she might drop by my house for this. I think I'll bake some cookies for Friday night!

So good to hear from you again! Such good news on your FIL, too, and he looks pretty good in that picture, in spite of all he's been through recently. Here's hoping for hale and hearty and able to withstand that additional surgery as soon as possible. Love the sneak peeks and the bits you showed in your post. That bird and umbrella are TOO cute!
