Spring is springing and a Fathers’ Day Freebie

I’ve been out of the sewing room for a week or so just enjoying the sunshine….. 062 my seeds I planted are starting to sprout and should soon be ready to go into pots of lovely parsley, dill and thyme.. 018my vanilla pod orchid is ‘doing its thing’, and the time’s just perfect for my roses…… 032 036 056 034 051 You can almost smell them, can’t you???? The bees are working busily….can you see the teeny native bees pollinating this rose?…… 055 And the canefires continue to burn with the sweet smell of sugar permeating the air each evening…… 006 aaiaaiaai I haven’t been completely absent from sewing though…… I’ve been working on my “Nice People, Nice Things” stitcheries…. 067 …and I reeeeeally like this one…. 068 ….because it reminds me of my little baby/terror…(well…in doggy years, he’s probably much older than me!!!!) 071 paw-print-divider-border And I don’t know about in your neck of the woods, but here in Australia, this Sunday is Fathers’ Day.  This got me thinking about what special thing I could do for my FIL who is one special guy……he loves fishing and now the years are starting to creep up on him, he has to write everything down…..just so he doesn’t forget!!!!! So I designed “Good Things”……. 065 to be combined with this…. 066 which will make……….well, I can’t show you that, because I haven’t quite got that far……nothing like working under pressure!!!!!  But if you’d like to use my design “Good Things”  to create something wonderful for your father, father in law, step father, hubby, brother…..yada, yada, yada….. you’re more than welcome to download it for yourself…. my gift to you!  Just click on the button below, or on the link on my sidebar….. 065 ….and you can work under pressure with me!!!!! LOL   Nah….not really…..it only took about an hour or so to stitch up and you’ll easily have something made by Fathers’ Day!  When you make something, I’d love to see it, so please send me a photo and I’ll share it on my blog! Happy stitching and sweet sugary hugs X Wendy :O)

I wish it was spring here too, we could just skip fall and winter, not a prob....Wendy, I ADORE your stitchery! It reminds me so much of my grandfather, he used to take me fishing all the time. Some of my best memories are of being out in the boat with him. I think I'll make up your little design and hang it on the wall, to remind me of him....thank you darling girl!
