Advent surprises and quilty progress…

This year, I decided to only take part in one Christmas swap and it was Fee’s Advent one.  I was lucky enough to get Illene as my swap partner and here are the gifts I received for the first 3 days of Christmas…… Day 1 Advent Swap 012 014           Day 1:  a fragrant Tea Rose Sachet  which smells deeeee-vine!!!!!   001 Day 2:  yummy chocolates…..has been helping ‘no end’ get me through the year 7 quilt making process!!!!! LOL 003 005 Day 3:  a wonderful diary to record my efforts next year……(and the dates I definitely mustn’t forget…like Hubby’s birthday!!!! ) Illene, it’s as if you’ve known me forever….you’re picking all the things I love!!!!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! And a big thank you to Fee too *mwah*! angel1-border-horizontalth And as for the year 7 quilt….it IS progressing…would you like to see??? 006 007 There’s only two more rows to do before sashing and borders, but seeing as I managed to sew one entire row upside down (after I  examined it thoroughly, wondering why the corners weren’t matching properly, a friend pointed out the names were back the front!!!!), I decided I needed a break!!!!  But it is coming along nicely, and surprise, surprise, it’s just like my design!!!!!!! woohoo!!!!! Cant wait to finish it now, but I’m off for a weekend at Airlie Beach with Hubby and we’re meeting my brother and S-I-L, both whom I haven’t seen for 4 or 5 years and going to a good friend’s 50th birthday party.  I better make sure I pack my camera! Have a wonderful weekend…. whatever you are doing, enjoy it to the full. Sugary hugs xo Wendy :O)
