Friday night with Friends is always fun, and seeing as this week, I shared it with our online Facebook Friday night sewing group, it was doubly fun, and I managed to get a little bit done too!!!
I’ve been working on my Crabapple Hill stitcheries, that I spoke about HERE and I DID say I’d make them into something…perhaps a wallhanging…..weeeell, here’s where I’m at with it now…..
It’s difficult to see, but the seven flower seed packet stitcheries and the borders were the ones that came as separate little kits that I managed to rescue from the charity store. I thought it would be nice to add a quote to finish it off…..I’m a bit of a sucker for quotes!
So on the remaining two blocks I added a quote I found thanks to Mr Google……it reads…..” Happiness held is the seed, Happiness shared is the flower” by William Feather. I thought that was pretty appropriate, but when I found it first, it was quoted by somebody else…..I think a little bit of sneaky plagiarism was going on because my friend, Mr Feather was born a long time before this other fellow, so I’m sticking with him!
So it’s now at flimsy stage and I’m planning on getting this finished to hang on my wall this week!! Yay!!!!!
I also managed to get a couple more of my hexies from my gorgeous friend Fee and her Framed Hexie Club
You can join in any time, so why not go on over and visit Fee and join me? I’m up to month 5 and have 4 months sitting there ready to go….I’m a WEEEEEE bit behind!!! You’ll probably catch up before I get them done!!!…..hee hee
Make sure you go on over the Cheryll’s place to check out what everyone else got up to at FNWF.
Another gorgeous friend of mine, Marilyn, made me this pouch, that I’ve showed you before…
It’s such a wonderful idea, and I use mine for EVERYTHING…..I love taking little stitchery bits in it with me and I know they’re safe and I won’t lose anything and they’ll stay clean!
Marilyn’s also done a tutorial to make one on her blog so you can make one too. I can see lots of these being made, I know I’ve got plans to make a few too…..great Birthday-Love Stash ideas *wink* and even good for Christmas pressies too!
Visit Marilyn over at HER BLOG where you can get the tute, and she’s also got one to giveaway, full of delish prizes. Make sure you tell her I sent you….she’ll be so excited!!!!
have a wonderful long weekend, I’m off to stitch!!!
Sugary hugs
