Well, it was Saturday, but I did ‘technically’ start preparing on Friday??!!!!
Here is how it went…..
it started with these on Friday…..
…then Saturday morning, we turned up for the workshop and gathered what we needed……
…there were quite a few of us…
these ladies were very prepared and taught us well…..(our guild ladies are very talented and don’t mind sharing their passion)
…we labelled our bags with the ‘secret’ recipes…..
…washed our white fabrics in soda ash and stuck them in the little bags….one in each….
….added the special ingredients and voila…….The hardest part was to leave them for 24 hours for the chemicals to ‘take’…….
But after rinsing and rinsing and rinsing…..and rinsing…….and then washing…..I was able to hang them out on the line to dry…….
….very proud of my results…..can’t wait to use them now…..I think I’m hooked on dyeing!!!!!
Make sure you have your post up for FNSI by this afternoon……I”ll try and get to see everyone tonight but if not, I’ll be visiting during the week….in the meantime I WILL be drawing the two winners tonight…..fingers crossed and good luck!

Wow Wendy, all the dyeing looks amazing - love the 'on the line' pic! - can't wait to see what you make with them...
Your newly dyed fabrics look amazing, gorgeous colours!
How neat is that. Lots of creating ahead Wendy.

Awww, Wendy, you make me want to go get my dyes out and make some pretty fabric. They are such beautiful colours. Now what will you make with them? Dont forget to admire and stroke them first.
Hugs xx
Beautiful dyeings, I love your colours!
Well done. those colours looked very vibrant. lovely rainbow.
Your colors look wonderful! I have to admit the only way I'd ever do this is in a class like that. I'll dye laces with OzDyes, but that's not much of a mess.
These look so great. I am so envious!
