Free “Seasons Of” block
Yes, believe it or not, it’s the tenth of the month and I’m all organised! I’ve been working hard at becoming a bit less ‘random’ lately and it seems to be working….for now, anyway!!!! This block is a Dawn Hay Design and seeing as we had begun spring, and Floriade is a HUGE springtime celebration during September/ October in Australia (you can read about it HERE), it just had to include flowers….. Isn’t it gorgeous??? Don’t forget to drop by and visit Dawn and tell her how clever she is!!!! You can download the block by clicking on the link in my sidebar….look for block 10 Floriade, under the “Seasons of” banner. if you stitch up any of the freebies, please send me a photo so I can showcase it……Dawn and I would be just as proud as Punch, and we’d love to show off your work too! The wind died down a bit outside today…..not much, but enough to show you where I’m at with the Aiming for Accuracy flimsy……and yes……it has become a flimsy!!!! (see? I told you my organisational skills had improved and I’m keeping up!!!!! ) Mind you….it took a few goes! Just as I clicked, the wind picked up…..you’ll see what I mean….. Finally!!!!…… I was a bit worried about some of the colours when I was stitching some of the individual blocks, but now it’s altogether, I really think it all works! Maybe a bit dark in the bottom right hand corner…but….I still love it. Next lesson…..the borders! And a sneaky peek of the next block in the “A Year of Blooms” Sew It’s Finished BOM for monthly finishers…….There are some curls and swirls in this one….. If you’re not involved in Sew It’s Finished, then you can be….click on the SIF link in my sidebar and read about it there…..then, just drop me a line and I’ll add you to our members list. Each month, if you finish one of your UFOs (I have P-L-E-N-T-Y!!!) , you get the free stitchery design. Our aim was to finish 500 UFOs within our group for the year, and we’re nearly there!!!!!! Yippee!!!!! In December I will send finishers the quilt construction pattern as well as the final design. There are 12 to collect and we’re up to number 10 now, but you can use each of them individually if you wish, as a stitchery in a bag, or wall hanging……or any number of different things….you decide! Next year, I’ll be releasing each one as a pattern in my Craftsy shop, so if you’ve missed out on any, you can catch up then! In the meantime, I’m off to stitch some more! Sugary hugs xox :o)
