Dad's (father in law's) surgery was at 7.45 am and he was back in the room about 2pm after 2 1/2 hours in surgery to remove the kidney and a good while in recovery. We didn't know much yesterday as he slept all the time we were there (the aesthetic I expect) but the doctor came today and told us it went beautifully alrhough there were a couple of 'hairy' instances.
We still don't know much about the results till pathology comes back but the doctor was very happy and impressed to see this same weak, frail looking man almost jogging around the floor today!

That is wonderful news. I'm pleased for you all. Its also a relief that you can now sleep better too. (lost my Dad at Christmas so it confirms how fragile life is and you need to enjoy them whilst they are here).
