hexi love and a new design

You know how much I’m loving hexies at the moment…..

I’ve recently, well…in the last few months, joined our Craft Forum’s hexi swap where we swap one hexi a month to another member of the group.  My request for colours was white centre with red and/or blue petals and I’ve been receiving some beauties.

Yesterday I received my hexi from Penny…..

doesn’t it just give you hexi love-bumps???  I must admit, I’m besotted with them lately…..my hexi punches are going to come in really handy, I’m sure!

But even pre-punches, I had started to develop a ‘thang’ for hexies…….so much so, I designed this sweet li’l bag whilst my father in law was in hospital…

Called, “Love Life”, this design came about earlier this year, as my FIL got sicker and sicker in the hospital, and I realised how we tend to take our lives for granted but how precious they really are……That ‘aha’ moment when it all becomes clear that you should take time to smell the roses and enjoy our gorgeous surroundings and love those who are special to us (and I was carrying my sewing supplies in both my handbag and in flimsy plastic shopping bags to and from the hospital!) …..so “Love Life’' was born.

It’s my first bag design and pattern, but don’t let that deceive you….this bag packs a punch with a zippered pouch, a key holder and pockets for mobile phones, pens and notepads…and it’s roomy too!  I know you’ll love it like I do.

You can purchase your PDF copy right now in my Craftsy store, which means it’s ready to download and print immediately so you don’t have to wait to begin…..cool beans, huh?

If you haven’t already got the bug, I know this will help you with your own hexi-love addiction.

Can’t wait to hear what you think.

  4. Such a sweet bag, I have had the hexi bug for a few years now and am currently slowly working through enough hexies for a quilt.

  6. Great idea to swap hexi flowers - do they come with the papers still inside? I would love to do something like that. Love the bag too - my brain is whirring!! xx
